everyone grinds leetcode but almost nobody practices the actual interview conversation

i've watched friends nail the technical round then bomb when asked "walk me through your decision to leave your last role" or fumble explaining their own resume.

i'm vamshi, solo dev who just launched nxtinterview after seeing this pattern play out too many times.

the insight that made me build this: most candidates spend 40+ hours on leetcode, system design docs, whatever. but they spend maybe 20 minutes total practicing how they'll actually *talk* in the interview. the interpersonal part. the "tell me about a time you disagreed with a teammate" stuff. explaining trade-offs they made on past projects without sounding defensive.

technical chops get you in the door. but interviews are lost in the verbal part — how you frame your experience, handle curveball questions, recover when you don't know something.

so i built nxtinterview to fill that specific gap. you upload your resume, it generates realistic behavioral and technical questions tailored to your background, runs mock interview sessions with voice, gives feedback on your answers. the idea is you practice the *conversation* the same way you'd grind coding problems.
